crisp surfboards was established in 2015 by Matt Crisp, a highly skilled surfboard shaper who embarked on a journey to establish his own board shaping business after working with his good mate, john morgan of maddog surfboards. soon after, matt’s son finn, joined him for the ride.

NOT JUST A BOARD SHAPER! THIS LOCAL FIREFIGHTER WAS born in armidale, he moved to byron in his early 20’s and has been shaping here since 1995! first starting out at Maddog Surfboards, matt then went on to create crisp surfboards and the rest is history!
